If you were in the high street last Thursday you probably witnessed the homecoming of the Vikings army regiment. I was there too and got loads of shots, whih you can see on my facebook group page:

I also recorded the whole thing in audio format, which I am hoping to use to make a sound documentary podcast for the Southend Virtual Time Capsule for Southend Timeline. Anyway, thought I'd share that with you and remind you of some of the things planed for the not too distant future:
i) I'm still looking for more interviewees to meet for a coffee and chat so let me know before my cofee kitty runs dry!
ii) I'm running a group to put together an unprecedented visual timeline of all the old Southend shops on the high street so if you want to meet with us email me (above)!
iii) Later this summer I'm building a 1:500 scale model of the high street with some sculptor pals of mine
iv) The exhibiton in the Royals starts this Saturday so please come down and take a look at all the fabulous photos I've been putting together of the high street changes! And I can interview you on the spot because I'll have my audio recorder there, so you could end up in the podcast too, which is likely to be played at Village Green in September for the showcasing of the Southend Virtual Timecapsule!
See you there!
